Contacts use negotiation + charisma to buy items just like players except they get a bonus to their social limit equal to their connection rating. A fence will take an item off of a players hands and give them 5% of the items price + 5% for every loyalty rating they have.
To purchase an illegal item you must make negotiation + charisma check against the availability rating of the item you are trying to buy. If you succeed you get the item in the listed price and it is delivered in the amount of time listed in the delivery times table divided by the amount of hits you got on the check. If you tie the test it takes double time. For every 25% of the total price of the item extra you pay you get one more dice. this bonus ends at 400%
A legal item that tries to be sold suffers a 500% mark down.
First to fence an item you must find a buyer. Do this by making an extended etiquette + charisma check, the interval is the one listed by the table up top. The thresh hold is 10 and item or items availability rating as a teamwork check. The second step is to sell the item. The buyer and seller both make opposed negotiation + charisma check. The buyer offers 25% of the items price +5% for every net hit the seller got on the check or -5% for every hit the buyer got on the check. After this it is up to the players to take it or leave it and try and find someone else.
